Kelli Denea Frazier
Kelli Denea Frazier, 3, became safe in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, after a courageous battle with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD).
Kelli’s life was a blessing to all who knew her. From birth, Kelli always displayed a zest for life with her radiant smile, magnetic personality and self-determination. Among the things that she enjoyed the most were swimming, riding on the mower, music, eating "ice ice", playing with cell phones and digital cameras. Butterflies also became a significant part of her life with the many butterfly kisses she received. Also, the MLD Foundation’s logo is a butterfly created with the silhouette of two children’s faces that represents the hope of a life free of MLD.
During the last 10 months of her life, Kelli lost almost all of her abilities and yet never lost her spirit for life. Although many of her days were filled with suffering, Kelli always found a reason to smile. While her life was short, Kelli’s exuberant spirit affected all who met her.
The family would like to thank her entire medical team for the sincere care and compassion given to her throughout her disease. They would also like to extend their gratitude to all in the community who supported them during this time.
"I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him." 1st Samuel 1:27 NIV
