8/30/07-
August 19th was a huge milestone for us for two reasons. First, Kelli celebrated her 3rd birthday! Praise God! Secondly, the doctors weren’t sure she would live to celebrate it.Kelli’s condition has deteriorated so fast. She often coughs and coughs and we suction and suction yucky stuff out of her mouth and even her little nose. She is extremely sedated yet she is so peaceful which is a true blessing after all of the suffering she has endured for so long. Her stomach doesn’t agree with her feedings anymore which has caused additional pain. To help with that, we increased the dosage of one of her Fentanyl patches. Her breathing is extremely labored and irregular. The length between breaths is becoming increasingly longer.
Each day now, we sit and watch her or sit and hold her just waiting to see if this will be the day that the Lord needs her to be with Him. We have been so very blessed to have her here with us for these very short three years. Although it has been a very short time, He has definitely used her to touch so many people’s lives.
